Family doctors accepting new patients in Windsor.
Thousands of families in Windsor-Essex are without a family physician. Our clinic is building its practice now, and registration is open ahead of our December 2026 opening — the earlier you register, the sooner you are matched.
How to register
Registration takes a few minutes online. You will be asked for your name, contact details, health card number, and a short summary of your health needs so we can match you to the right physician.
Once you are enrolled, your family doctor becomes your first point of contact for ongoing care, referrals, prescriptions and preventive checks — with the same medical record following you between visits.
What family practice enrolment includes
- Regular checkups and periodic health reviews
- Chronic disease care for diabetes, blood pressure, cholesterol, asthma and thyroid conditions
- Cancer screening, immunizations and preventive counselling
- Women's health, including Pap tests, birth control and prenatal care
- Newborn, child and adolescent care
- Mental health support and referrals to specialists
- Prescription management and medication review
Who can enrol
Anyone with a valid Ontario health card living in Windsor, Tecumseh, LaSalle, Amherstburg or the surrounding Essex County communities can register. Newcomers, students and families are all welcome, and we will help you understand your coverage if you are unsure.
